The LinkMap Settings page provides essential tools for managing your account, customizing your visualization experience, and configuring project defaults. You may also be interested in using our agency settings. Let's explore each section to help you make the most of your LinkMap tools.

Account Security

Your account security is our top priority. The Settings page allows you to update your password at any time. If you're using a temporary password from account creation or reset, you'll be required to change it before accessing other parts of the system.

Changing Your Password

To update your password:

1. Enter your current password (unless you're using a temporary password)
2. Enter your new password
3. Confirm your new password
4. Submit the form

After successfully updating your password, you'll be automatically redirected to your dashboard.

Visualization Preferences

When working with site visualizations, LinkMap offers customization options to enhance your viewing experience:

Color Scheme Settings

You can choose between two color schemes for your site visualizations:

• Standard Color Scheme: Uses a blue-to-red gradient to represent page values
• Accessible Color Scheme: Provides enhanced visibility for users with color vision differences using a scientifically designed viridis color palette

Your visualization preferences persist across sessions, ensuring a consistent experience when analyzing your site structure.

Project Settings

The project settings section lets you configure defaults for new projects and manage existing ones. These settings affect how LinkMap processes your site data and presents visualizations.

Default Processing Options

Configure how LinkMap handles your site data:

• URL handling preferences (www vs non-www)
• Protocol settings (http vs https)
• Slash handling (trailing slash behavior)

Profile Management

Your profile settings help personalize your LinkMap experience and manage how you interact with clients through project sharing:

• Update your display name
• Manage your email preferences
• Configure your agency name for client sharing

Agency Name Configuration

If you plan to share visualizations with clients, setting your agency name is crucial. This name appears in shared URLs and on client-facing pages, helping maintain your brand consistency.
